Trauma

Trauma is a big term. To some extent, most of us are familiar with the term and have a basic understanding of what it entails. Trauma can result from a single event or series of ongoing experiences. We are all impacted by trauma in different ways, and how we process it also varies. One of the most important things to note about trauma is that we can’t decide not to be impacted by it; however, we can decide how we relate to the trauma(s) we’ve experienced.

Here at At Peace Therapy, we primarily focus on childhood trauma, childhood abuse, attachment/relational and developmental trauma.

  • Increasing awareness and understanding of trauma and its impacts on your mind and body.
